Founded by legendary snow boarders: Axel Backman and Gigi Jones and based out of West Vale, Colorado, Out There has been a staple of the snowboarding world since 1987. On that day over twenty five years ago, Axel and Gigi wanted to start a company that catered to the elite and newcomer alike. They focused on making quality products at affordable prices which allowed people to start and maintain the hobby at minimal cost. The end goal: to introduce as many people to the hobby they loved and enable them to “get out there” and that’s what they’re still doing today.
This branding project focused on a “nature-centric” viewpoint. It emphasizes, in its imagery, the beauty of the sport. The colors, shapes and feel of the brand all go back to the tactile sensations of enjoying the sport and communing in amazing locations in nature.
