I was tasked with creating and then prototyping an app that functions as a tool for educatinfg people about the oceans of the world and the ecosystems within and around them. I went through several steps to achieve this task including, researching and polling before I even started designing the app. After the research phase I created wireframes and performed paper prototyping and usability testing. Once the users helped to refine the process, I created a comped prototype and tasked users once again to perform certain goals and polled them on the use of color, imagery and typography. After refinements were made based on user data, I comped out and prototyped the remaining screens. This section of the book is intended to give you a closer look at some of the process I used to complete the job.
